A friend of mine pointed me to the brand
Genesis Bikes. I must admit I never heard of this UK based brand, but while browsing their website I fell in love with the
High Latitude!
A hardtail 29er with the looks of a singlespeed, but with an Alfine S700 11 speed internal geared hub. So less parts to destroy, but still the benefits of a geared bike.
Another beautiful detail is the asymmetric chainstay.
And look at the tire clearance! The bike comes with a sett of 2.2 Continental Mtn King IIs, but there's still plenty of room left to even rock a pair of 2.4s!
And the price isn't even that high for all the good stuff you get, it can be your's (or mine) for 1699,99 pounds...
