Lars Boom was a hero in his CX days, and nowadays he's become a strong roadie.
Yesterday he won the second stage (TT) in the Tour Méditerranéen and he became first in the overall standing.
But the best thing about his win was the way how he did it!
With his CX background, he know's how to switch bikes really quickly, and that exactly what he did yesterday! The first part of the time trial was almost flat, but in the last bit there was a climb. So at the bottom of the climb, one of Lars Boom's mechanic was standing there with his much lighter road bike. He switched his time triall bike for his road bike to be much faster on the climb and he won!
Job well done!
